Essencedating.com is a Jewish, Internet dating game, for creative, and spiritual people, to find spiritual friendships, and build community, by being your truest self, and to mystically date. It's a shared, creative experience, in which you lovingly, and briefly, in a safe way, glimpse each other's essence. Wouldn't that be nice?
Here's How To Play: There are five age brackets 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-75. As many as 10 players or as few as 2 players can play in an age bracket, playing with 10 players is great, but tests have also shown, that 2 players games can also produce the full effect. You play in your age bracket, so you talk only to people of a similar age, and only to those of the opposite sex. You talk to one player at a time, about one painting, a special painting, selected for its ability to help people connect. You talk about this painting for the games duration. Talk is in a chat format, for 15 minutes to each player, a game can last 1 1/2 hours or 15 minutes depending on the number of players in the game.
At the end of the of each 15 minute conversation, you are moved to the next player, until you have spoken to all players of the opposite sex, in your game, and then you have the opportunity to send your E-mail address to any two of the players you have just spoken with. Who knows? E-mails could lead to spiritual friendships, to stronger personal community, mystical dating, and to Love.
Essencedating.com uses paintings to help Jews meet each other, but it is not about the paintings, and it works better if you are not gentle in how you talk about the paintings, and the structure of the game encourages you not to be. It's about a shared experience of discovery, gently and briefly in a non-threatening way you glimpsing each other's essence's with love. The central rule that creates this special mystical magic, is that all conversations must reference the painting.
So you might say I hate green, or I love this painting because when I was a child, or this painting reminds me of a certain time when, or Red is my favorite color because, or you might make up a story about the painting together. In short essencedating.com is not about appreciating the art; it is about appreciating yourself, and each other, the art is only there to help, and to give spiritual inspiration.
Payment & Eligibility: Games usually cost $4.95 per session, and each session can be as long as an 1 1/2 hours, or as short as 15 minutes depending on how many players have signed up, but if there are fewer than ten players you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule, or get your money back. You can also watch games for free at anytime. You can watch games in progress, or games previously played. So when you are playing remember, others may be watching.
You must register by credit card early, the latest possible registration time being 5 minutes before a game begins. We are New York based, and only advertise in New York papers; so all players should be from the tri-state area, though you never know. You must be 21 to play.
